Bio

Isaac Doku is a 2024 CEGA Fall fellow (UC, Berkeley), development economist and a lecturer at the Economics Education Department, University of Education, Winneba-Ghana. Isaac’s research focus is on the development of Africa, especially in the area of climate change, energy, agriculture, education and health. He has played a key role in evaluating two Government of Ghana’s Energy policies: the free cookstove distribution model and the subsidized solar lantern promotion program.

He is also a JPAL African scholar that has currently won grants to carry out need assessment for re-integrating teenage mothers into the formal education system in Nigeria. In 2018, he was awarded the prestigious Emerald Literati Award for our study on Chinese FDI and economic growth of Africa. Connect with Isaac on LinkedIn.
