Transforming Systems for Evidence for Policy and Practice: How and Why It Works
Sabine Desczka has been engaged in international research collaborations for more than 20 years. Her key expertise is in impact investment, impact measurement, risk and inclusive sustainable development, with recent experience in peri-urban food systems, food safety, fair trade and investment in sustainable food cold chains for Africa.
Sabine Desczka holds a MSc. Economics and LL.M. in Public Law. She works as Senior Coordinating Researcher for Impact Investment at Wageningen Social & Economic Research, part of Wageningen University & Research.
With an interest in the food systems transition, climate smart agriculture and sustainability, she has worked on a broad range of topics related to sustainability such as sustainable agri-food, food systems transition, agri-transition and climate insurances, innovation & risk, private and public finance. She is currently working on the InCiTiS-FOOD project, the foodsafety4Africa project and the PPP “Cool Move”.
