PROTOCOL: Evidence and Gap Map of Climate Change Adaptation Interventions for Enhancing Food Security and Livelihood in Sub-Saharan Africa

A Policy Brief
An Abstract

Summary

This is the protocol of an Evidence and Gap Map (EGM) which seeks to systematically compile, categorise, and synthesise available evidence on climate change adaptation interventions that support food security and livelihood outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa. It covers a broad range of agricultural adaptation strategies across sectors such as crop production, water and land management, livestock, fisheries, natural resources, energy, risk management, and livelihood diversification.

The project has the following objectives:

  • Highlight areas where sufficient evidence exists to support further synthesis and in-depth analysis
  • Reveal critical evidence gaps where additional research and evaluation efforts are needed to strengthen the knowledge base.
