ICED is the first Africa-based international think-tank that combines research and innovation with extensive practical experience in evaluation and development.
Thankful for our partners around the world
ICED plays a leading role in food systems thinking, leadership, impact network and capacity building in Africa. This is demonstrated through our role in undertaking cutting-edge research and collaborations with global institutions and a wide range of regional and international alliances and partnerships.
Our sectors of interest are motivated by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and inspired by the outstanding needs of most Global South countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The activities carried out by ICED through research, monitoring and evaluation are aimed at ensuring Africa’s development. The projects generally extend throughout the African continent to ensure that the continent, and eventually, the Global south, benefit as a whole.
ICED's strategic priorities are a demonstration of its adapting to the advancements over the last six years in a fast-paced and dynamic development evaluation landscape, to deepen and broaden its impact in Africa.
