Omboi Paul is an insightful data scientist and data systems professional with over 10 years of solid experience in data mining, data manipulation, advanced analytics, and ICT support across the health and education sectors. He possesses strong expertise in SQL database creation and maintenance, with proven capabilities in designing, developing, and testing robust data management systems supported by clear technical documentation. His experience includes extensive work with mobile data collection systems (CAPI) such as ODK, Tangerine, KoboToolbox, and SurveyCTO, enabling efficient and reliable field data capture at scale.
Paul brings comprehensive ICT and IT support competencies, including system administration, computer networking, configuration, troubleshooting, and enterprise systems maintenance. He works proficiently with SQL databases and has practical experience in developing Java-based web applications. His analytical and visualization strengths span Power BI, MS Excel, Python, SPSS, and Grafana, enabling the transformation of datasets into actionable insights for enhanced decision-making and program improvement.
Over the past decade, Paul has supported data-driven programs with organizations such as DT Global, Chemonics International, RTI International, FHI 360, and KEMRI.
