Mohamed Beavogui is a seasoned development leader and former Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea (2021–2022) with over 35 years of international experience in development finance, banking, risk management, agriculture, and policy. He has held senior leadership roles in major global institutions, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the United Nations Office for Project Services, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the African Risk Capacity, and the African Regional Centre for Engineering Design and Manufacturing.
Before his appointment as Prime Minister, Mr. Beavogui served as Board Chairman of United Bank for Africa in Guinea. He currently chairs the Executive Board of the African Capacity Building Foundation and serves on the boards of the Africa Rice Center and WaterAid.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute Gamal Abdel Nasser, a Master’s in Machine Design from the Polytechnic Institute of Saint Petersburg, and executive management certifications from the University of Cambridge and Harvard University.
