Mercy Mwaka Kitti is an accomplished executive support and human resources professional with extensive experience across the healthcare, manufacturing, and finance sectors. As the Executive Assistant & HR at the International Centre for Evaluation and Development (ICED), she provides strategic, operational, and administrative support to the Executive Office, ensuring the seamless coordination of executive functions and organizational priorities.

With a strong background in governance coordination, stakeholder engagement, and HR processes, Mercy brings a unique combination of organizational insight and people-centred leadership to her role. Prior to joining ICED, she served at Aga Khan University as the Executive Assistant to the Chair of the Department of Medicine, where she played a key role in managing academic operations, postgraduate training coordination, recruitment, and strategic departmental initiatives.

Mercy has also held positions at Trufoods Limited, Pwani Oil Products, and Lifecare International, where she gained hands-on experience in corporate operations, compliance, and team support—further solidifying her capabilities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) degree from Africa Nazarene University and has completed professional certifications in Leadership, Project Management, and Wellbeing for Health Professionals through the University of Washington. Her multidisciplinary training enables her to effectively support ICED’s mission of fostering research and innovation for sustainable development.

Mercy is deeply committed to creating supportive and inclusive work environments. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys nature walks, meditation, and travel. She believes in the importance of balance and mindfulness as drivers of both personal and organizational success.
