Communication and Evidence Synthesis Specialist

Dorothy Tindi Sitati is a knowledge management andcommunications professional with over a decade of experience turning research,programme learning and community perspectives into communication that is clear,credible and useful.

Before joining ICED, Tindi worked with Global Communities onUSAID's Cooperative Development Program in Kenya, where she led collaboration,learning and adaptation initiatives to strengthen the cooperative ecosystem andexpand youth participation in cooperatives. She steered stakeholder engagementacross government, academia, development partners, cooperative organizationsand communities, and coordinated field research in partnership with UnitedStates International University (USIU)–Africa.

Previously, she led communications initiatives at TheovisionInternational Kenya and wPOWER Partnership  (Partnership on Women's Entrepreneurship inRenewables), a U.S. Department of State initiative hosted by the WangariMaathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies at the University ofNairobi. There she championed communication advocacy on women's participationin clean energy entrepreneurship and drove advocacy on women's leadership,climate action and sustainable development.

Tindi holds a Master of Development Studies and a Bachelorof Arts in Community Development from St. Paul's University. Her professionalfoundation is in media and communications, having earned a Diploma in BroadcastJournalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.

At ICED, she is committed to connecting research with real worldaction and to helping diverse audiences use evidence to advance inclusive,sustainable development across Africa and beyond.
