Nairobi, Kenya – The International Centre for Evaluation and Development (ICED) and the American Institutes for Research (AIR) have today signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Nairobi, Kenya, marking the beginning of a transformative partnership to strengthen evidence-based development, research, and innovation across Africa and globally.

The MoU establishes a collaborative framework between the two organizations to co-create and implement high-impact initiatives in agriculture and food systems, monitoring and evaluation, women’s economic empowerment, and data and knowledge management.

“This partnership marks a significant milestone in ICED’s journey to amplify the use of evidence in shaping inclusive, context-responsive development policies and programs,” said Dr. David Sarfo Ameyaw, President and CEO of ICED. “Together with AIR, we will foster a culture of learning, innovation, and accountability that directly benefits communities across the continent.”

The MoU was signed during a ceremony held at ICED’s Head Office in Nairobi and attended by senior representatives from both organizations.
