Impact of Road Infrastructure on Household Nutrition, Women Empowerment and Gender Equality in Rural Nigeria, led by Dr. Victor Okoruwa from University of Ibadan, attempts to measure the impact of rural road infrastructure provision by the Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) on household nutrition, women’s empowerment and gender equality. Several development projects have provided rural roads although empirical studies linking road infrastructure provision to household nutrition, women’s empowerment and gender inequality are limited in the case of Nigeria.
