Dr David Sarfo Ameyaw
Dr David Sarfo Ameyaw, a native of Ghana and USA Citizen, joined AGRA as the M&E Director on June 2011. Prior to this, he has been working as the Acting Senior Director in the Monitoring, Evaluation and Economics Unit of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in Washington, DC. Prior to joining the MCC, Dr. Ameyaw worked for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Silver Springs, Maryland, USA, where he served as Associate Director for Food Security and Child Survival Programs, and also as Director for M&E.
He has worked in several other senior international management positions in Haiti, Ghana and other parts of Africa, Europe, Asia and South America. He brings to AGRA almost 20 years of international development work, with a focus on work in Africa. He has spent the last twelve years in the area of Monitoring and Evaluation and is a founder member and external advisor for Ghana M&E Forum.
He also serves as external facilitator for strategic planning development and implementation for international and national profit and non-profit organizations and is a member of several professional working groups in M&E and the environment.
Dr Ameyaw holds a D.Min in Missions and Community Development from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, USA and a Masters in Divinity from the same university. He is a certified Project Management Professional. He is a member of American Evaluation Association, African Evaluation Association and International Development Evaluation Association.
